Athletes from Myanmar train for the twenty-ninth Southeast Asian Games
In June 4, 2017, the welcome ceremony of Myanmar 2017 sports technical cooperation project was held in Hunan and Yunnan training base respectively. Mr. Lyu Guoguang, the company general manager, leaders of Hunan Provincial Sports Bureau and other related department, Mr. Myo HLaing, general director of health and sports department of the Ministry of sports of Myanmar, deputy general director and director of the Ministry of sports of Myanmar, Myanmar athletes and coaches attended the ceremony. Following the successful implementation of the technical cooperation project for the twenty-seventh Myanmar Southeast Asian Games and the Myanmar sports technical cooperation project in 2013 and 2015, the Chinese government has carried out the third sports technical assistance project to Myanmar. In order to help Myanmar to achieve good results in the twenty-ninth Southeast Asian Games, at the request of the Myanmar government, the competent department of Chinese government decided to implement the 2017 aid Myanmar sports technical cooperation project. Including the arrangements for the Myanmar national team, 264 people came to China for 90 days training, sent 9 people coaching team in Myanmar for a short period of 20 days, at the same time provide the necessary training equipment of 13 sports events. From June 5th to June 8th, 3 person team led by the general director of the sports department of the Ministry of health and sports of Myanmar visited Hunan and Yunnan to inspect the training of the Myanmar sports teams in China
